Dear community,
We are truly and deeply touched by your generosity—by your presence, your spirit, and your commitment to our community. Many of you traveled hours to be with us at the picnic, and not only did you show up, but you also showed us how to celebrate the Algerian way—with joy, pride, and an open heart.
Most of all, we saw a community come together embracing one another, giving what they could, and sharing a vision for a brighter tomorrow.
This is us. And this is why we are so grateful. The entire Board thanks you from the bottom of our hearts.
We would like to hear your ideas for the next event (Eid El-Adha picnic). If you have suggestions or a preferred venue in mind, don’t hesitate to share—we’re listening.
With heartfelt thanks to all who made it possible, including:
Everyone who donated at the picnic and joined our membership—yes, we really love that!
-All the BBQ volunteers including President Hamoud, Treasurer Larbi, the Djelmane Bros, and Mustapha for supplying the Merguez.
-The community members who brought folding tables and coolers.
-Everyone who helped with cleanup, packing, and loading the trucks.
-Azzaz, Larbi’s family for preparing the condiments.
-The Benguesmia Family for helping with the baguettes supply.
-Toufik Bourmel who brought/set up La Pinata and distributed a box of toys to the kids.
-Many thanks to those who brought dishes, salads, desserts and drinks to share with everybody (Amazing!).
-Nour Date Co. and Gaddoor for supplying us with the dates and syrup, donating to the AAC-SC, along with the buyers who bought the products to benefit us.
-Dahmane Dahmani for donating his board games to the kids, ZINGA-ZINGA!(TM) and ZhiZhu!(TM).
Thank you again—for showing up, giving back, and believing in each other. Please see the AAC-SC Google Drive photos.
With gratitude and love,
The Board
